Allegro♩ = 120 · lessons for all ages

Music lessons that make you want to practise.

Piano, saxophone and voice lessons for children and adults, taught one to one by working musicians who still get excited about a good chord.

Three instruments, one way of teaching

Every lesson mixes technique with real music you actually want to play. Beginners start making sounds in week one; experienced players get a plan for the next step.

How it works

No long contracts before you know it's a good fit.

  1. Trial lesson

Meet your teacher, try the instrument and talk about what you'd love to play. No experience or instrument needed.

  2. Your plan

We agree a lesson length and weekly time, and set goals: a favourite song, an exam, or simply playing for fun.

  3. Play for people

Weekly lessons build towards informal student concerts, so you get to share what you've learned with family and friends.

It's never too late to start

About half of our students are grown-ups. Some are picking up where they left off at school, some are brand new, and some just want an hour a week that's theirs.

  • Flexible times, including evenings
  • Learn the music you actually listen to
  • Duets with your teacher from the first month
  • Exams only if you want them

Meet the teachers

Hop Music is run by Seb and Sylvia, performing musicians who teach because they love it. You'll see the same friendly face every week.
